What is the best pet dog for my situation?
I am looking into buying a dog but i do not know to much about the different breeds. I am allegoric to most dogs so i am looking for a pet that does not shed. Also i would like the dog to be a small dog that i can potty train easily. Lastly i am looking for a dog that has short hair. Some of the breeds i have been considering are a beagle, chihuahua, and a pug. Are there any other breeds that i might be interested in?

- pug or bull dog
- I have a chihuahua & I advice you to stay away! Get a pug they are very good dogs & loyal lol. Yorkshire terriers with short hair don't really shed & they are beautiful.
- All dogs shed, but there are dogs that are less likely to cause an allergic reaction. A breeder is going to want you to come out and spend several days with the dogs to see if they cause an allergy. Small dogs are NOT easy to potty train. Most of the small low allergen dogs are the HARDEST to potty train. Short haired dogs are not usually the low allergen dogs. Beagles are HEAVY shedders and are pretty high allergen. Chihuahuas & Pugs both shed a considerable amount. Chihuahuas can be quite unreliable with housebreaking. To me, it sounds like you want a perfect dog. That dog just doesn't exist. Somthing like a Toy Poodle may be something to look at, IF you have the time to train it and exercise it. http://www.poodleclubofamerica.org can help.
- Do some research and look for dogs that are good for people with allergies. Some examples are poodles, terriers, chihuahuas, italian greyhounds, bichon frises, lhasa apsos, shih tzus etc. Short haired dogs often shed the most. Go and pet different dogs see what ones you react to or not.
