Dog Information

What are some dog breeds that are completely devoted to their owners?

I want a dog that will be completely devoted to me, will easily trained to fetch, swims, will play well with my siberian husky, and is more of a watch dog but not to the point of being aggressive. Shoot me some ideas on some breeds that fit the bill. Thanks so much!

  1. Labrador.
  2. chow papillon
  3. My Siberian Husky loves to play with his two cousins, that are both labs. Labs have the same energy level as huskies. Huskies like dogs their same size, or close. Look at flat-coated retrievers, boxers, golden retrievers, etc.
  4. This is a training issue. Not a breed issue. The dog will be bonded with the person who does most or all of the work with them.
  5. English Springer Spaniel :) The typical Springer is friendly, eager to please, quick to learn and willing to obey. My dad owned 3 of them, all loyal and loving dogs :)
  6. I have a German Shepherd Dog and he will do anything I ask him to do.He loves me and is completely devoted to me.But everyone else will say this about their dog too.So I say this is not about the breed but how you get along with your dog and how much time you spend with him bonding together. This won't happen over night either it's a relationship with you and your dog as best friends.
  7. Golden Retriever Collie Husky(another one) Lab Weimaraner Newfoundland Boxer Akita Shiba Inu Saint Bernard Greyhound Bernese Mountain Dog
  8. Cane Corso German Shepard Boxer
  9. Any dog is capable of being that perfect companion. But if you want a dog to swim on Instinct I can tell you that there are many dogs types of dogs that can swim. I suggest going to your local humane society and finding a companion that suits you. Ask the shelter if they will allow a meet and greet. Where you bring your dog to the shelter and you can see how well the dogs get along.
  10. it all depends on how your train your dog. i mean look at all the different breeds of dogs in movies that have learned tricks. lots of variety. as long as you read up about how to train ur dog and make a good bond, it should be fine. but remember, its not the dog that is the problem(normally) when he doesnt listen. sometimes itshard to get the message across to them at first. give them time and they will learn
  11. There is no dog completely devoted to its owner. Dogs, like every other animal on earth, and that includes humans, do what they have to do to survive, and dogs have learned that the easiest way to ensure it will be fed and sheltered is to please its owner. When a dog does everything it can to please its owner, or anyone else, it is not an indication of love, it is a survival instinct.
