- Introduce the food slowly and mix it at first. One part new food and nine parts old food. do this for at least five meals. Then two parts new food and eight parts old food - again for five meals. Carry this on until you have finally changed over to the new food. Do not let the dog train you. If he wont eat the mixed food after 15 minutes lift the bowl and only give it to him at his next meal time. Dogs are very clever and know how to get you to add something nice to their bowls. You need to be firm and consistent when changing food for your dog. Good luck and may the patience of a Chameleon be yours...
- Probably the easiest way to get him to eat the adult pedigree would be to mix it in to his favorite food. You would need to do it slowly, so he will still eat it. For example, the first time you feed him, put 75% puppy 25% adult, then the next time, make it 50/50, and so on, until you have fully weened him from the puppy food. You could also try buying those flavored gravies they sell at any pet store, and pour them onto the adult food until he gets used to it.
- Like humans dogs love to get loved, get him checked from a doctor and give him at most care.Make him run and play wiyh him..
- try mixing in a little adult dog food with his normal food. then litttle by little start adding more and more adult food and less and less of his "normal food". if your dog doesnt like the new food at first, dont force it but dont give in and give him puppy food either. if hes hungry enough he will eat. youre dog might have some digestion problems for a week or too but thats just normal from changing foods. hope i helped (:
- When your dog is sleeping throw the food into the mouth
- dont provide him food for 2 days...... he will eat whatever u want then
- give him meet then see how he eats it.
