- Do not put yogurt in your dog's ears. Get medicine from your vet for the current yeast infection and FEED your dog plain yogurt to help minimize future yeast infections.
- Yogurt isn't going to cure yeast infections in your dog's ear. You need to have it properly diagnosed and treated. Yogurt might help your dog not develop future yeast infections, but it's not likely. Keeping them nice and clean, and allowing them to air does far more .. DO NOT put yogurt in your dog's ears.. Zymox will clear up the ears..
- Yoplait stawberry shortcake. If that's not available try Dannon's fruit on the botton and get blueberry.
- Plain, unsweetened yogurt to be FED to the dog. It won't cure an infection but it may help promote the growth of healthy bacterias which have been found to be helpful in the prevention of bad bacterias and yeasts forming. Also for prevention, keep your dogs ears clean and dry and keep him out of moist areas whenever possible. My shep/husky X is terribly prone to yeast infections, mostly due to the shape of his ear. I check them and wipe them daily (NO Qtips and only the outer ear!!!) and clean them with a solution from the vet about once a week. The solution costs about 14$, but is way cheaper than treating infections constantly. Maintenance and prevention is your best bet. Repeated or untreated infections can leave your dog deaf.
- *palmtoface* your dog needs medical attention, not yogurt! lets say yo u had an ear infection... Would you: A: go to the doctor B; or eat yogurt
- Is there a vet at your local clinic named Yogart? If so, that's the best one. Otherwise use whatever vet is there. EDIT: Spellcheck is your friend.
- This isn't a do it at home project - you need to get your dog to the vet and get the proper medication for him - you can't just give him yoghurt and expect an ear infection to go away, that's ridiculous.
