Problems with keeping our pet dog in our flat - Can anyone help?
We have been told we cannot keep our dog because we live in a flat with a lift. However others are being allowed to keep their pet dogs if they moved into their accommodation before this new ruling was brought in by the local Council (Glasgow City Council). Does anyone know if this can be construed as discrimination under the European Human Rights Laws. Please help, mother frantic

- well i think it makes sense, because why punish the people that were allowed to do it in the first place. If you moved in after the act was put into place it seems fair that you would not be allowed to do it. Granted it does suck, but i highly doubt there will be much you can do about it, except either find a new place or find a new home for the dog.
- Is the ruling listed in your lease contract? Were you informed of it when you moved in? I assume the landlord knew you had a dog when you spoke about the flat...did he know or tell you about the ruling? Could these factors be used to request a waiver?
