If you were in a room, chained up with your pet dog, would he eat you before starving?

If you and your dog are in a room you could not get out of and your chained up, would your pet dog, who loves you eat you before it starves to death?

2. Ha ha. Who says I'd let the dog eat me? As selfish as it sounds, if I were locked in a room with my dog and it came down to my survival, I would eat my dog before it could have the chance to eat me.
3. As much as I love the dog, everyone will act on his/her basic instinct when the time comes. At first I will not, but eventually I will; I have to fend for myself, it is how nature geared my mind to act.

7. Dogs are so ridiculously devoted to their humans that I just can't see that happening. Now being in a room with a polar bear is another story. I don't care how cute they were as cubs! Their wild instincts will emerge no matter how much they (or any wild animals), seem like "pets."
8. It depends on how you've treated the dog. If you've treated him/her well, then no. A loyal dog will die before hurting you or letting harm come to you. I'd have a hard time believing this if I didn't see it.

11. The other day I was walking down Powell St in San Francisco and saw a homeless man with his dog... They both looked mangy, tired, and hungry. The man was collapsed over his dog, who was also lying down. It was hard to say if either was alive or conscious. It was a sad yet beautifully human sight... To see a man and his dog like that.

13. I just can't see my dog doing that, I honestly think he would just die before eating me. Some wild crazy animal might, but not a pet who loves you i think,....But i don't know honestly, we all have animistic tendencies.

16. I have a tomcat. I don't think he will eat me alive. but maybe will chew my fingers, ears and such soft things when i am half-dead half alive.or maybe he will be polite and wait until i die. he might also ask my permission before having any bite

18. Well...my chihuahua, Andy probably wouldn't but I don't know about my french bulldog, Muffin. Hes cute - but crazy!
19. I am of the opinion that it is more likely that my morals would cave first and I would kill my pet for sustenance. In my experience pets tend to be more loyal to their owners than their owners are to them.
