Do you prefer a male or female pet dog?

I only have a female pet shihtzu, and if i'm going to get another dog i'm almost certain it would be a female. Pls tell me your preference for the dog gender and reasons. Thanks!

3. females tend to be easier to potty train, however the older dog will show more signs of dominance towards the younger dog-it's normal

6. Female but do not forget to spay @6 months. I have 2 females and I got my Chihuahua after she had her first heat or menstruation. She is always trying to hump my other female terrier. My poor (spayed)terrier does not know what is wrong with her and just play bites at her to get her off. Male dogs are so sweet and protective but you can't go for a walk without stopping to him sniffing or marking everything in sight. Your walk would be stop, go, stop, go so on and so forth. I took care of a male and he tried to hump everything, even the couch. He also chased every female dog within sniffing distance while on walks. I would go with a female any day;)
