How to travel with pet dog on train?
Hi, I want to take my pet to my home town on train, which will take almost 18 hrs. I know my pet won't keep quite for such long time. Pls suggest if you have travelled earlier with your dog on any such long journey? and how I can take her?

- They will probably want to put it in a crate in the cargo area. I dont think they allow animals to ride in passenger areas, too much liability if the dog should bite.
- bring a toy or something that will distract your dog from the noise and shaking. bring a good supply of food and water for your dog. and it also depends on the size of the dog if its a small dog you could carry her but if its a big one keep it on a leash. hope this helps
- Either use a pet carrier which is large enough for a bed and a pee pad. Carry poop bags with you so that you can seal any poop up so that it doesn't stink the whole carriage out. Or split the journey in two. Leave the train somewhere along the line to walk your dog, and catch then next train down the line to continue the journey.
- You should have a pet carrier, and puppy pee pads , and some treats, hopefully the dog will not get motion sickness. You should talk to your vet and see if he can give you something to keep the dog from getting sick. " Good luck on the trip
