- Cats are generally more dependant and require less attention whereas dogs have to be looked after around the clock and trained.
- dogs are more fun to play with, but cats are easier to handle.your choice.
- You should get a cat, they're easier to take care of and they don't ruin your lawn. Give them fresh food, water, clean out their litter box daily and they're all set.
- Well, dogs can be trained, but cats are much easier to handle. All you have to do is keep their bowls full of food and their litter box clean. Other than that, there's not much you do (except play with them from time to time).
- Take it from a lover of both animals...cats are just as enjoyable as dogs, easier to clean up after, and are more dependent. However, if you really like companionship, you'll want a dog. They're not as independent, need a bit of training, but they'll follow you everywhere if you permit them.
- cats are mostly more gentle than dogs dogs tend to be more wild get a cat =]
- Cats are definately more independent and really don't require much training as far as house and behavioral training are concerned They are both very energetic and playful when they are young but a puppy needs more exercise and attention. They also require much training such as house training, using a leash, listening to commands It all depends on what you are looking for in a pet.. temperment, size, time you can spend on it, etc
- A cat will not ever listen to you the way a dog will, but a dog requires more attention. Both are equally capable of destroying your house if not properly trained. Personally I prefer dogs because a cat will not be able to love you the way a dog can. As a solitary hunter it is physically and biologically incapable of loving you in the traditional sense. It can only love the things you do for it. A dog on the other hand will die for you.
- If you want a pet that will love you and want to be with you and can do tricks and won't go in your house get a dog. A cat is going to go in your house and it will smell bad.
- well, dogs are more faithful and they are always there for u but cats only need you when they want sth from you so ...i prefer dog b.c they listen better
- well typically dogs need more maintenance because they need to be walked and let out to go to the bathroom. cats, however, can be trained to use the bathroom and can be either indoor or outdoor.
- I personally have 3 cats inside. They require little grooming. As long as you keep the liter box clean there's no "pet odor".Of course no taking the dog out at 3:00am either...lol.Good luck in whichever you choseā„
- No, no, no. Animals belong outdoors. I have had a small Yorkie/Maltese mix in my house for the past 5 years. I will never have another indoor pet. There is a lot of work involved in keeping a dog indoors. :) I do not recommend it...:)
- Hmm... well both have pros and cons. Dogs tend to be a lot friendlier and more happy than cats are. Cats tend to be more independent. But because they're more independent, cats also tend to need less care. They still need to be trained, but dogs take a lot more time and effort to train. It also depends on what kind of dog or cat you get, as different breed act differently. Personally, I would get both a dog and a cat, but only get them if they're both young. That way, they'll at least be used to one another and closer to one another. However, this would take twice the work, as well as a lot of money. Only get both if you think you're ready to handle it. If you still can't decide, I would start with a smaller pet. Rabbits and hamsters are fairly easy to take care of, but they don't live very long. That way, you can ease into getting a pet and know what you need to do in order to step into getting a cat ot a dog.
- As long as you don't have any allergies, both can be good pets. Animals have different personalities just like humans do, so sit down and decide on what kind of personality will fit in with your family and also how much care/time you are willing to give to a pet. Changing the litter box vs getting up early to let the dog out. Some dogs are very hard to potty train, while cats usually have no problem with the litter box.
- If you want a pet for inside, get a small dog like a Chihuahua or get a cat. A cat is easier to housetrain since they use a litter box. My preference is a dog tho, and specifically a Chihuahua.
- Cats are independant, but they also have a little trouble learning the word "no". They like to do what they want when they want. You can train a dog, and they are fun to play with. But cats need attention too. I have both, and love them all...so it's up to you.
- Well, dogs need more attention(daily walks, frequent grooming for long-haireds, exercise, need to be played with...) while cats don't need that much exercise, they can groom themselves, and they are entertained enough by their sleep. Having both are even better. Just make sure you separate them if rivalry begins to build up.
