What is the range of freqencies for dog collars used in electronic fences?

1. I'm not sure of the exact number, but my dog has the range of 1-10 on her collar. The man who put the fence in started us out with training her and it was eventially left on 6 to allow it to affect her enough to stay within the boundaries. Last week I noticed that she was going further than usual so we turned up her collar to a an 8 and reinforced the training and it's working well again. (If you do not have the fence yet and are considering your options, I have to tell you that the fence is amazing and I'm very pleased we got it. 2. We had electronic fencing put in for our dog, and I thought it sucked. He ran right through it, and once he figured out that he could go through it. Getting that shock for those few seconds was worth it to him. I can tell ya the range on our fencing went from one to ten I am not sure of the feet though.
