- About 60-70 dollars. Do you have a barking problem? I would try scolding and solving the issue any other way but this...and in the worst case scenario, resorting to the bark colar.
- My dad paid $500 for two collars and one controller
- No offense, but i think those are really cruel! How would you feel if someone put one on you because they think you talk to much (even though thats human nature just like a dog barking is its nature) and shocked you everytime you tried to talk? You wouldnt like it at all! please just get a trainer and work with your dog
- dont resort to bark colars!! barking is a natural thing for them! just scold the dog! dont torture him for something thats natural thats pretty much like getting shocked every time to talk or cough!! think about it!
- I would NEVER put one of those on my dog. Would you put one on your child if he/she would not stop talking?? Seriously, find another way....dog books, training sessions.... That is cruel!
- shock collars are wrong, how would you like it having something around you neck that shocked you when you talked. these should not be used its a form of animal abuse
- Yeh thats right punish him for something thats comes naturally! they are cruel!!
- I would recommend a more humane way to keep your dog from barkin...........A citronella collar. When the dog barks it gives a littl squirt of citronella which will stop the dog from barking, but is not harmful. You can find them at any pet product website and even at Amazon. - you can get them at petsmart for about $75. but i recomend trying to train the dog yourself. it is natural for a dog to bark but some are just more vocal. the barking comes in handy when the dog is warning you. say someone is breaking into your house at night, the dog barks & wakes you up. or your house is on fire, same thing. if you teach it that everytime it barks it get shocked it will be afraid to bark. try getting a spray bottle of water & everything the dog brak for no reason spray it & firmly tell it to hush. do not yell at it b/c the dog thinks you are barking along w/ him & its ok to be loud. you can also grab the dogs nose & hold it shut & tell it to hush & when he calms down let go, just make sure he dont bite his tongue!
- NEVER USE SHOCK COLLARS!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S HORRIBLE. YOUR DOG WILL ONLY DEVELOPE BAD PROBLEMS LIKE BEING SCARED AND TIMID ALL THE TIME. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF YOU HAD A COLLAR ON THAT YOU COULDN'T GET OFF AND EVERY TIME YOU DID SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW AND CAN'T UNDERSTAND DIDN'T LIKE YOU WOULD GET SHOCKED. THINK ABOUT IT .
- I know of a family that uses bark collars because they have four dogs and all of the neigbors have dogs as well. If there was another way to keep their dogs from barking at the neighbors' all day, they would use it but there isn't. Make sure that you take it off at night, when the dog is sleeping. Your dog could be shocked for the slightest whimper. Don't put it on tight, it could create burns on your dogs neck if it is too tight. Bark collars are also rather expensive. Use the bark collar only as a LAST resort.
