Why does a dog scoot their food bowl around before eating the food?

She does this ALL the time. She likes her food because she does eat it. She will do this and later come back and eat it. She is 2 yrs old and very healthy. I always feed her good dog food.

1. Um... i think its because if they like biscuits better and it's at the bottom and the wet food is a the top then they will shuffle around until they get what they want. Or simply because they are being awkward!
2. My dogs always do it when there is no food left and they are still hungry ;) , but I am not sure why they are doing it in your case ..my dogs will even bring there water bowl to me when they are thirsty and there is no more water
3. If you are using stainless steel bowls, you can get the ones that have the rubber 'ribbing' around the bottom, which would prohibit the dog from moving the dish around. You can also get size-appropriate stands for the bowls.
